OS X for Mac
$129.99

Mac OS X combines the power of Unix with the simplicity and elegance of Macintosh. The first version released in March is the foundation for the next generation of Macintosh computing. Built on this powerful framework, version 10.1 makes Mac OS X faster and more responsive. You’ll notice some awesome new features and refinements as well.
In Mac OS X version 10.1, Apple engineers deliver vastly improved performance. You’ll experience these improvements at every level of the system. Menus are visibly faster to react, drawing quickly and smoothly.
Most applications will launch two to three times faster in Mac OS X version 10.1, meaning they’ll be ready for you before you’re ready for them.
Finder windows feel more responsive when you resize them, regardless of whether you’re manipulating files in icon, list or column view.
To get windows out of your way in a hurry, you can choose a Scale option instead of the cool genie effect. Available in Dock Preferences, Scale cuts down the time it takes to minimize an active window to the Dock.
OpenGL is 20% faster in this release, with full native support for the superfast NVIDIA GeForce 3 card allowing applications to take maximum advantage of advanced 3D applications.
All in all, you’ll be able to get more done, more quickly and efficiently, with Mac OS X version 10.1.

Korg Triton
Your Price: $2,999.97

TRITON Studio: the new TRITON power
We couldn't imagine Korg could make their TRITON Series even better. . . and then they did. The TRITON Studio features a host of great features to make the TRITON the premier super-synth. They've rev'd the processor up to 6X its previous speed, allowing the touch screen to be as responsive as it is intuitive. It also offers complete sampling functionality, with the ability to pull samples from just about anywhere, including the program, combination, or sequencing modes of the unit, as well as from the external inputs and the optional CDRW-1 CD drive. The synth comes in 61, 76 and 88 key versions - the 61 and 76 key models offer synth action, while the 88 key is weighted. A unique weighting scheme for the 88-note version provides graduated weighting as you move down the keyboard, similar to the action on a real piano. Options? What doesn't it have? There's the CD Recorder, and a 6-voice MOSS Synthesis Engine...the list is practically endless.

  Digigram's VXpocket v2
$599

The two VXpocket models provide 24-bit performance with PC applications using Microsoft's WAVE protocol and ASIO, as well as Mac applications using ASIO. Mac Sound Manager applications operate at 16 bits.

Both cards feature one stereo SPDIF input and output allowing digital record/playback and an LTC (SMPTE) time-code input. A breakout cable is provided with XLR connectors for the analog inputs/outputs, phono connectors for digital and LTC, and a stereo mini-jack for headphone monitoring.

The VXpocket v2 has two balanced analog mono inputs at microphone or line level and two balanced analog outputs.

The VXpocket 440 has four balanced mic/line analog inputs and four balanced analog outputs. The number of active stereo inputs and outputs available varies with the sampling frequency and bit rate selected. The user may optimize performance based on user preferences for number of input/output, audio file format, and computer CPU usage.

If the possibility of running sophisticated audio applications on your laptop has sparked your imagination, this range of cards can turn your concept into a reality.
